My name is Marianna Plathan. I study medicin at The University of Kuopio. I have loved, owned, showed and trained
dogs since I was a child. My mother, Tuula Plathan, has passed me a lot of knowledge and expertise that can only be learned by
experience. She is the breeder of the famous Karamain Tibetan Terriers and an international championship show judge.
In 2004 my father bought a Braque du Bourbonnais female Volage du Pontelle de Maicou. Little did I know how much
this intelligent and fun dog would change my life. I was able to take part in a hunt for one day and after that day, I couldn't stop!
It is great fun to train a gundog, experience the excitement of hunting and field trials as well as enjoying a lovely day
outdoors in the beautiful Finnish nature.
I'm married to another enthutiastic hunter, Pekka Pirskanen. He owns a Shorthaired German Pointing dog male, Aittonevan Fransemil, and a
young Wirehaired German Pointing dog female, Pitkä SK Jippu.
