My name is Marianna Plathan. I study medicin at The University of Kuopio. I have loved, owned, showed and trained dogs since I was a child. I have been an active dog owner already for years and have participated in several fields of this hobby, yet there is a lot more that I hope and plan to do in the future. My mother, Tuula Plathan, has passed me a lot of knowledge and expertise that can only be learned by experience. She is the breeder of the famous Karamain Tibetan Terriers and an international championship show judge. I have followed in her footsteps until just recently I am beginning to find my own path. I am charmed by the elegant appearance and graceful personality of my Saluki and fascinated about the profound bond between me and our Bourbonnais Pointing dog: it is great fun to train her, experience the excitement of field trials and hunting as well as enjoying a lovely day outdoors in the beautiful Finnish nature.

I am engaged to another enthutiastic hunter, Pekka Pirskanen. Pekka started hunting already as a young boy and he used to own a Wirehaired German Pointing Dog, Suivakon Vertti. Nowadays Pekka owns a Shorthaired German Pointing Dog, Aittonevan Fransemil.
